Today there are between 7 (source: NY Times) and 13 million (Source Chicago Tribune) American Muslims. Muslims like any other immigrants are here to work hard and earn a living. Increasingly, Muslims are reaching out to  fellow Americans to tell them about the Islamic faith and immigrants are leaving the baggage that they bring from the old world behind. What does Islam mean? Islam is an Arabic word meaning  “Peace” and "Submission to  God". It has an etymological relationship to other Arabic words, such as Salaam, meaning "peace". The Arabic word "Muslim" is related to the word Islam and means "one who surrendered" or submitted to God. Muslims see submission to God as a sign of distinction; this term has no negative connotations. In this view, submission means serving the will of Allah above and beyond one's own goals”

 

Is suicide allowed in Islam?

The God of Adam, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The name is rooted in “LAH” which has a common root for Jews and Muslims. In Arabic he is called Allah “Al-Lah” or the THE GOD. In Hebrew he is called Laheim or LAH-heim

 

What does Muslim mean?: Anyone who submits to the will of God

 

Is Islam a Monotheistic religion?:

Muslims believe in only ONE God

 

Do Muslims Worship Mohammad?:

NO. Muslims do not worship Mohammad. He was a man, and a prophet of God

Islam and Women who cover their heads? Should America Allow this?

Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear cover must be not intimidated in America. That's not the America I know.
