ABOUT US
Dear fellow AJCMA
brother/sister:
Shalom Alaichem, Salaam Alaikum,
and Peace be upon you!
Thank You for giving us the opportunity to reach out to you. It is a
pleasure to share our thoughts and feelings and spread the message of
tolerance and peace to all.
As a consequence of the
universally condemned and tragic events of 9/11 perpetuated by cowards who
claimed to be Muslims, there is a growing yearning in the United States to
find out about Islam and about Muslims. We want to reach out to all who are
interested in hearing our message of peace.
We are approaching you to
initiate a dialogue and to invite you and your peers to initiate a dialogue
with us, and to come visit us, meet us, to visit our school, our mosque, and
talk to our congregation about the commonalities of our faith, and the
common values that we share as Americans.
Ø
“The silent
majority” of real Muslims want to talk to you
Ø
The Quran is one
of the best sellers in the USA. We want to explain it to you
Ø
Mosques all over
the USA are being inundated with requests for interfaith dialogue. We are
responding
Ø
We are sending a
message of peace that is drowned out by a sensational media
As children of Abraham, we
want to reach out and talk to you. We have a saying in Pakistan…the
mighty rivers starts with a rain drop”….as a friend reminded me “a
journey of a thousand miles, starts with a single step”...we are
here as friends and neighbors. Meet the silent and normal majority of
Muslims that you do not see on your nightly news.

"If
there's an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an
attorney or due process, that threatens my civil liberties. It's that
fundamental belief -- I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper --
that makes this country work."

"If
you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of
the oppressor. If an elephant has his foot on the tail of a mouse and
you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your
neutrality."
